14th February 2018 at 10:04 pm #15648Brilliant win for Liverpool straight into the Qtr Finals. 3-1 flattered Real that one’s not quite over yet.

14th February 2018 at 10:20 pm #15653Absolutely stunning result for us tonight and a great performance after a nervous first 10 minutes. Couldn’t ask for more and outscored City!!! Only kidding my City cyber friends! So that’s City, Liverpool and probably Spurs through. Going to be an interesting draw for the quarters!

15th February 2018 at 7:11 am #15663Aurier isn’t French. He’s from Ivory Coast. His beard seems to be less than intelligent. Otherwise it would give more thought to its’ appearance.

15th February 2018 at 7:49 am #15667Come on Baconmuncher, even your beard (or is it too many face-lifts? 🙂 ) should realize a conversation between Goose and Banjo is going to go full retard.

15th February 2018 at 10:34 am #15694Banjo says he was a very happy camper indeed and managed to use up 2 rolls of Kleenex (Banjo was most impressed and suggested a career change!)

15th February 2018 at 10:38 am #15695AnonymousMav, he has a habit of making stupid challenges ,he has the pace to force people wide and close them down but chooses to take them out, mostly in the box .There’s a good player in him but he needs a lot of coaching to cut the stupid mistakes out.I reckon we won’t see the best of him till next season.
Nils house would of been carnage last night, would loved to have been a fly on the wall._____________________________

15th February 2018 at 1:46 pm #15700Hi Mav! 🙂 Agreed, I think from what I’ve seen from Aurier that he’s definitly better than our current right backs. Actually we’ve still got so much deadwood in our squad. I sometimes think it’s pretty well done by JM to have us in 2nd place!
Years ago i actually thought Fellaini would be a great addition to our squad. As it turns out, I was wrong! 😀
I’d like to see the back of Fellaini, Young, Mata, Zlatan (even if he was good last season, but age catches up with everyone), Valencia, Jones and Darmian. Carrick is luckily enough retiring. He has been a good servant to the club, but new blood is needed.
I’d hang on to Smalling and Rojo, but they shouldn’t be first choice centerbacks. Blind I’d also hang on. He can play several positions and can fill in when needed, A bit like John O’Shea. Those types can be useful. Shaw I’m undecided about. He’s got some potential, but he can’t seem to kick off for real.
Lindelof gets a free pass since it’s his first season at United and in the PL. It’s too early to judge him yet._____________________________

18th February 2018 at 9:52 pm #15939“It was not my best day, really,” Ovrebo said.
“But those mistakes can be committed by a referee… and sometimes a player or a coach. Some days you’re not at the level you should be.
“I can’t be proud of that performance. They were handball situations.
“I judged them on the pitch and I think it is not interesting to know what I think of those actions once judged.
“But I understand that people think differently to the decisions I made at the time. That discussion will continue eternally.
“I was responsible for the decisions that were made and we can argue that, if I had taken others, maybe Chelsea would have qualified for the final.
“We will never know. I made decisions and they were not the best.
“But it is difficult to say if, without that arbitration, Barcelona would have been eliminated or not.”
Nine years too late Mr Oviebo and it only heightens the feeling of total injustice from that night that robbed the club of a CL Final place and potential revenge for 2008.

20th February 2018 at 7:08 pm #16073AnonymousGL to Chelsea tonight. As a Liverpool fan, I feel that we kinda owe Barca a battering but I’d be pretty happy to know that we went further in the competition than them any way that it can happen. I’ll hope for a Chelsea win as long as we don’t end up meeting int he next round. . . although it’s inevitable isn’t it? 😛
