It wasn’t a great game to watch but it was still a decent result for United and I’m sure they will come through the tie.
Part of United’s problem is with Pogba he’s only shown his quality and true potential in patches and he’s judged by all and particularly the media as being a £90m player and if you don’t play the way Jose wants you to play you don’t play even if you cost £90m.
Seemingly adding Sanchez to the team at his alleged salary has caused problems too.
I get all the criticism but United are still a very good team and another two or three top signings in the Summer will set them up to challenge City imo.

22nd February 2018 at 1:57 pm #16251It looks like a minimum of 3/4 PL clubs will make it to the Qtr Finals so at some point they are likely to be drawn together but for the fans and for the competition itself it would be preferable if it didn’t happen until the Semi Finals albeit all 4 PL teams being drawn against each in the Qtr Finals would at least ensure 2 PL clubs in the Semi Finals.

22nd February 2018 at 3:22 pm #16257It’s all well and good saying Utd fans shouldn’t accept it but what should the fans do? Jose has just won 2 trophies in his first season. Are the fans supposed to be protesting outside the ground because we’re not playing pretty enough football? Flying planes? Banners? I’m pleased that the majority aren’t calling for the manager’s head so early in his reign.
I’ve still yet to see a good suggestion as to who we should get in to replace him. Any ideas?

22nd February 2018 at 4:27 pm #16267What about that Pep chap, he seems to be doing well, surely he’d want to manage the biggest club in the world?….Pagan

22nd February 2018 at 4:36 pm #16269?? Pagan, good shout. I’m not sure Conte or Simeone could be claimed to play much better football than Jose’s teams. Nor has any of the names mentioned won anywhere near as much as Jose. Allegri, I’d have my doubts seeing his side being outplayed at home to Spurs. The Napoli chap I don’t know enough about, which in itself suggests it’s a huge risk. As always, it’s easy to determine a problem but much more difficult to find a suitable solution.

22nd February 2018 at 8:55 pm #16294Ed, I agree. Utd are 2nd. They have a great chance of the FA Cup and are still in cl. They will beat Sevilla. I think the problem is utd are absolutely dire to watch. I don’t think they were playing great football at the start of the season. They played no top side till Liverpool. Liverpool were playing poorly then and were there to be taken but Jose showed no balls to go for it. It’s efficient boring football but absolutely no utd fan will care if they win the cl this season
jose needs to win the cl or the pl for his time at utd to be deemed a real success. Problem is utd fans are used to winning in style. They havevbrilliant attacking players and last night ,they could have shown more going forward.
no way do I think Jose is finished.crazy talk but he’s getting more negative by the season. All managers are hypocrites but he’s out there on his own. He’s boring now and I hope he falls apart but I really doubt that will happen. Utd usually have the last laugh and I fully expect us to drop points on sat and utd to beat Chelsea and move further ahead

22nd February 2018 at 9:18 pm #16300ED.I reckon Marco Silva till the end of the season would be a better option.
Or if you can get Luis Enrique?Joachim Löw after the world cup.Although I suspect he’ll end up at Bayern ?
My United supporting pals are fed up with the turgid football on offer.I think
if JM doesn’t get top 4 he’s gone.Simple as that._____________________________

22nd February 2018 at 9:19 pm #16302I don’t think Jose is becoming more negative, I just think more teams are trying to be more positive and the difference is more visible. Jose is Jose, he sticks to what has brought him results…..Pagan
