21st February 2018 at 7:37 pm #16204I know Mav. I just mean with the money we’ve spent we SHOULD be, but we obviously won’t. I’d take a 1-0 now. I’d take a score draw actually!

21st February 2018 at 9:46 pm #16218Well that was rubbish. Almost glad I missed the first half. Was deliberating over whether or not to play football myself and ended up playing. At least I saw some goals there!
I still think we’ll go through. Just really not creative at all recently this side. We’ve looked poor ever since Sanchez came in if I’m honest.
Ah well, at least I don’t support Arsenal

21st February 2018 at 9:51 pm #16220At this rate, that Utd Chelsea game isn’t looking all that appealing either. I just have visions of both managers sending out a team with no strikers and just camping out in their own penalty box waiting for the other team to attack! ?

21st February 2018 at 9:53 pm #16223So ed. I don’t watch many United games and don’t have BT sport so didn’t see tonight. But out of interest why do you think Sanchez arriving has resulted in you playing less attacking football? Jim

21st February 2018 at 9:55 pm #16224Jim, indirectly I think he has yes. He seems to have upset the balance of the team with him and Pogba both wanting to operate in that pocket on the left hand side. I’m sure we’ll find a way to utilise them both effectively but we’re not there yet

21st February 2018 at 10:20 pm #16229I think both Sanchez and Pogba are quality players. getting the best out of them is the challenge. deploying 3-5-2 i think will be solution. i’m not a manager, but i think in that formation. Pogba can play behind the 2 strikers ( Sanchez and Lukaku) at the no 10. in this way he can have less defending to do and can concentrate on the attacking side of the game. and you can have Matic and Herrera sitting , plus two wing backs.

21st February 2018 at 10:40 pm #16232Two poor sides as CL ko standards go. If either of them come up against RM, Barca, PSG, City, Liverpool, Spurs or BM, they will get spanked, big time.
These two have won the Europa League the past three years. I think it’s time UEFA had a rethink about allowing the winners automatic entry to the CL.
Also, Mourinho really has his work cut out trying to get Pogba motivated – he really looks like he can’t be bothered.

21st February 2018 at 11:32 pm #16233AnonymousLiverpool fan here and I don’t think they are being precious at all. TBH I’m not at all interested in what Opta wants to call a clear cut chance. They are playing on a very general set of rules that don’t take individuals into the equation at all.
If you were to have some shots from outside the box by Gerrard in his prime, would opta call them clear-cut chances? Absolutely not. . . but if the ball sat up right for him and the shot wasn’t blocked, you bet yer ass that Gerrard had a really good chance of scoring.
I’m not sure why we’re even talking about what is and isn’t a clear-cut chance though. If a player takes a shot from outside the box and it hits the post, you’re talking about an almost perfect shot. 1 Degree in the correct direction = goal. That’s pretty damn clear to me.

22nd February 2018 at 7:17 am #16238Sorry Jim. I mean Sevilla are a poor side. They are still in the game but I expect from utd to go through
utd werent playing Barca and were well capable of an away goal
horribke to watch but utd fans won’t complain if it gets them through

22nd February 2018 at 8:12 am #16240Utd have the players to go to places like Sevilla and score. This is Man Utd ffs and they set up like they were playing Barca.
Ive seen Rafa use those tactics but we were more of a goal threat. Utd are efficient. They will beat Sevilla. I wouldn’t want to get them next round as they are very good at the back. Utd fans should expect better. It’s horribke to watch but if Jose delivers the cl no one will care. The FA Cup is not good enough for utd. He was brought into win the pl. it’s boring football especially with the attacking quality they have

22nd February 2018 at 1:10 pm #16248AnonymousI wouldnt want to draw them either. I no longer look forward to playing against Utd as his style of “football” is to just kill the game. I don’t understand why the fans accept it. Man utd built a legacy of success based on quality attacking football. Mourinho’s tactics have only gotten more defensive and ugly over the years.
Ya, if he wins the CL, they’ll be delighted. I mean they accept this shite even now. . .
