30th May 2021 at 8:23 am #179879Oh welcome foxy. Pleased to see you have joined us here. A busier site with great people on board. No ‘rough diamonds’ that I have seen like other platforms.

30th May 2021 at 8:57 am #179880I actually thought the ref was excellent his persona is a bit dislikeable but that doesn’t really matter. Anyway though we as Chelsea fans are happy I do feel for City supporters they waited so long having not won it yet but I do also sense now that they reached their first final they will be regulars same as Real, Bayern, Barcelona etc. It would have been much more painful losing on a penalty shootout like we did on our first final. Not to even mention that famous slip.

30th May 2021 at 9:01 am #179881More so than the famous slip was the body language of Anelka before he took his penalty which was shocking and the attempt even worse. A striker not willing to take the responsibility on in a penalty shoot out was extremely poor form. He’d convinced himself he was going to fluff it already.

30th May 2021 at 9:10 am #179883Nine, I am even happier for this knowing how much of a lift it will be for you and many of our fellow blues who face immense challenges every day of the week.
Football is remarkable. If your team loses, well, it’s only football and there is another game next week, but if you love a team and they do something like this… nothing like it mate.
fans like you who supported this club through thick and thin, you deserve to lap up every bit of success
All the best Nine

Congrats and lets hope the good mental lift lasts.
We couldnt both have the lift but at least I managed a 20 min walk this morning. On to a busy summer. Newspaper nonsense , the Euros and before you know it …it will be the Charity Sheild (or whatever its called) and hopefully we are back to some fitness.

30th May 2021 at 11:08 am #179889Brian, nine is the sole reason I kept coming back to Team Talk whenever I would get fed up of the nonsense there. He is also the reason I post here. I value his perspective on all things chelsea tremendously and he is a credit to any forum he participates in.

30th May 2021 at 11:08 am #179890GI Blues…cheer up….it takes me max 19 minutes to get over a loss. I feel good, after all, Pep has Brough us another two trophy’s this year, mostly we have played well, cannot complain and just move on, that is the best tonic I can advise

30th May 2021 at 11:29 am #179892AnonymousDon’t think City can complain too much, 2 trophies, 1 runners up, and 1 semi final, that makes for a successful season. Chelsea did deserve the win and also overcame tough obstacles on the way to the final.

30th May 2021 at 12:17 pm #179894Completely Agree Moos.
Some teams’ Supporters in their lifetime don’t get to experience any glory.
The Media certainly don’t help creating discussions about Quadruples. So what if you don’t win everything.
Manchester City have 2 Trophies one of which, The Premier League Title which in itself is a Fantastic Achievement and The League Cup – Double. Never to underestimate.
Chelsea fully deserved their win – defense were Textbook so good at reading the game.

30th May 2021 at 1:18 pm #179895Brian. 19 minutes! Whats your secret? Takes me a lot longer. At least to the next day or the next match!
No grouse with the result their keeper hardly had a save. The only issue for me is the deliberate thuggery of Rudiger with no punishment._____________________________

30th May 2021 at 1:49 pm #179897I didn’t know both sets of Gallaghers were in Porto. Not often at all does that happen. What if City had won? Pep might have tried to reunite them π

30th May 2021 at 3:25 pm #179900Adlab, I am really upset for KDB and I’m truly sorry about his injuries but it was a block by Rudiger we see them every week in the PL even from City players π and it’s a yellow cad offence hence why the Referee booked Rudiger and there was no involvement by VAR.
There was no intention by Rudiger to injure KDB although that was the unfortunate outcome hope KDB gets over his injuries soon and plays a full part in the Euros and returns fit and strong for City next season. Wonderful player wish we kept him at Chelsea. Cheers 9’s
