Sympathy for the City fans on here, but the better team on the night won. Particularly sorry for my mate gjblues who told me he was a bag of nerves earlier today. Unlucky, lads, but congrats to 999, Lucky, Blaze etc.

I remember a few months ago saying you wouldn’t want us in final as we would break your hearts as utd did to us
I am no psychic of course and as coincidence has it, it has panned out that way.
I will let you in on a little secret, just in case you didn’t know, the best team in eaurope seldom wins the champs league. Chelsea were best team in Europe 2004 to 2006 and circumstance always conspired against us. We were better than utd when they beat us. When we actually won it we were no where near the level of our previous teams that came so close.
It will come for City for you will not be denied, as we were not.

Lucky….I also said City are beatable recently when all and sundry were hailing us as the best ever. We are still a little below that but I am sure Pep will continue to win more than he looses and play football worth watching. We do need some fresh faces and to fit the team ethic. Both teams gave everything to day, there can be only one winner. Mahrez and Sterling did not put enough effort to get beyond Chelsea back line, Walker did more than both of them put together. Pep took a risk without Fernandinho or Rodri and it did not work out.Some would say we have no forwards ora striker that score goals and it showed to day but at the same time it would hard for me to critique a team who have just won the EPL scoring the most goals and at the same time letting fewer past them. To day was hard and a lesson for Pep as much as the players though but they did trying for that I will not complain

I suspect given previous meetings with Chelsea, Pep felt he had to be very bold tonight and try and get a few early goals on the board and try and kill the game. Which in theory is a sound plan. But it was just too bold, particularly in midfield and actually played further into Chelseaβs hands. In purely footballing terms, thereβs no better coach in world football than Pep. But I think he struggles to get the right approach in some big games.

Absolutely ecstatic but not surprised. I actually gave us a better chance of winning this than I did back in 2012 against Bayern Munich. Others (on the other site) were a bit more apprehensive.
I am lost for words and rather teary. I love this club, 54 years on supporting them and counting. There are a few Chelsea fans right now not doing so well and this would be a massive lift for them so my thoughts go out to them – Allan Palmer and also our own 999 who has had his moments health wise. So pleased for you 999.
The record under TUCHEL listed below is impressive and has been added to with this result. We simply struggle against packed defences no matter how inferior the Premier league opposition however seem to thrive against sides that want to express themselves and play open expansive football. A world class goal scorer obtained in the summer would be handy. Vardy would do well with his eye for goal. Harry Kane but a dream.

All that stress during the Villa game turned out to be simply a nuisance. I can imagine though that Tottenham doing us a massive favour made a big difference in this final. No added pressure regarding a spot in next yearβs competition was pretty useful I reckon removing that added pressure that would have been on the coach and the players.

Agree Lucky and the lift in performance compared to the poor effort in particular against Arsenal probably indicates that too. The Villa result more so due to the closeness of the final. Maybe they have more faith in their own ability then we tend to give them credit for.

My first thoughts are for Brian,Adlab, Mike and GJ and all the other great City fans on here,as Chelsea fans we know what it’s like to lose a CL Final but City and Pep are so so good that this is just a delay and you will be back to claim the CL at some point in the near future.
Oh my goodness I still can’t quite believe it Tuchel set the team up brilliantly and to a man they were all great it would have been a bit more relaxing had Pulasic scored towards the end though.
I watched the game with my family as we are in the Wye Valley and that made it even more special and yes Lucky we had a few scares with the internet but the TV just about held out to keep You Tube working albeit it went close a few times.
67 touched on Palmeab and my illnesses and at the final whistle my Wife, God Bless her said at least something has gone right for you this year I don’t talk about it much on the sites but it’s been a really tough year health-wise for me personally on the 7th July I start a really tough period of 30 weeks of treatment so this CL win meant even more than the first one to me.
