26th February 2020 at 10:08 pm #77066Mak…in part I would agree with you but there are more fans complaing about City than City fans moaning about consiparcy. Of course, there are City fans who take this too far even to point where i think they have lost sight of the objective but they still have a right to moan about conspiracy, founded or not, and UEFA. I also suspect this happens at just about every club unless you can show me a perfect club and fans. We have all missed the target here, we should be talking about football not how and who runs the game, we fans, will never control that.

26th February 2020 at 10:13 pm #77071You’re correct Adders, it’s only ht. However, fantastic performance from the team on the field and particularly Pep, he got his tactics spot on. And to come back from 1-0 down showed wonderful character. Just a shame about Laporte, hope it’s not too bad – at least he walked off the field.

27th February 2020 at 7:52 am #77385Laporte really is a top class centre back. It’s very difficult to find a really good left footed centre back these days.
So good on the ball but can defend aswell

27th February 2020 at 12:45 pm #77563Mav, Hazard didn’t look done last season with 21 goals and 17 assists for Chelsea.
Players aren’t done at 29 mate and I’m sure Hazard has got a number of seasons left at the top level yet.
Hazard has had to settle into a new league, a new country with his family with a different language and a new team on top of that he’s had some unfortunate injuries the first at the very start of his career at Real. In Hazards last few games prior to the last unfortunate injury he was Real’s best player.
It sounds like Hazard will struggle to be able to get fit this season but I’m sure he’ll come back stronger next season for Real if not he’s very welcome to return to Chelsea.?

27th February 2020 at 12:48 pm #77566Not a Capital offence by Ramos last night on another day he could have easily escaped with a yellow card.
He will be a big miss for Real though at the Etihad in a very difficult game for Real to turn around.

27th February 2020 at 2:16 pm #77621AnonymousMav… Said it on other boards when everyone was hoping he’d stay, but I thought he had lost half a yard of pace with us and I was glad he wanted out as it stopped chelsea making the decision and I think offensively, we’re actually better off without him in goal scoring terms. We just a nice little bit of cutting edge and distraction but we’ve not missed his goalscoring as we’ve scored more without him in the side. Think Chelsea did really well to get what we did for him. He didnt help himself with his off season weight, will have put his body under more strain and hence why he probably got injured to begin with. Then its a cascade effect as the body readjusts. Just ask Jack Wilshire and his ankles.
He’ll be back, but probably not as we saw him in the prem.

27th February 2020 at 2:56 pm #77645I’m hoping for a United win tonight Mav and for them to stay involved in the EL which hopefully might help Chelsea in the fight for a top 4 place as they will almost certsinly be without European football after the Bayern away game.
Big win for Rangers last night which if everything drops into place as seems likely will give the SPL 2 CL place next Season.

27th February 2020 at 3:16 pm #776619s & 442-Thats what Im basing my line of thinking on,namely the injuries & their effects on him short to medium-term,not the actual age of Hazard.
9s-As for the CL spots, watch us lose to Everton come the wknd,we are not your main threat.I would actually keep an eye for the Goonies,a bit of thing going on there since MA took over.We are 1 step forward,2 back._____________________________

27th February 2020 at 3:18 pm #77662442-I read it on Chelseas TT page some time ago a post where somebody thought Hazards best years/days might just be behind him.I tend to agree to a certain extent, and the lad is closing on 30.

27th February 2020 at 5:53 pm #77755Not impossible for Arsenal Mav but they’ve got to get past a lot of teams to do it best chance for them imo probably lies in winning the EL but I wouldn’t write anyone off even Burnley have the same number of points as Arsenal.
Hazard will be judged on next season at Real if the injuries have taken their toll and he doesn’t perform he will almost certainly move on although I doubt he will return to the PL.
Chelsea would be a bit better placed in the PL this season imo with Hazard’s 16 goals and 15 assists in the PL from last season. As Frank said “We lost certainly one of the biggest players in our history and one of the most effective and dominant players in terms of what he did. That is the situation.” “It is quite clear in the summer we lost Eden Hazard who has been a huge part of scoring and creating for us in the last few seasons. We need more competition in those creative areas.” You won’t find too many Chelsea fans who disagree with Frank.

28th February 2020 at 12:29 pm #78317Great EL draw for United v Lask, tough draw for Rangers v Leverkusen and a potentially tricky one for Wolves v Olympiakos.

28th February 2020 at 8:25 pm #78613Oil is a player that I cannot understand. He is a gifted player, he is with a good club, maybe not at there best at the moment but it should be up to him plus a few more that should better for Arsenal. I just get the impression he just waits for his hatcheck to come in…job done.Pity, what a waste of talent
