How many times I’ve mentioned the player Rodri. He should be joint Captain.

10th June 2023 at 10:06 pm #207385Best team won, Inter offered nothing up top until the last 5 minutes, basically playing the percentage game for me.

10th June 2023 at 11:05 pm #207390My bucket list item done.
We were lucky tonight. As Pep put it, finals are the toss of a coin .
That’s my football desires fulfilled._____________________________

11th June 2023 at 7:06 am #207392City won as expected but not as convincingly as I thought they would. Lukaku proved to me it is not just a Chelsea thing with him and uselessness. Too big and cumbersome, a statue up front stuffed two nailed on chances and then, to be fair, unfortunately in the wrong place to block a goal bound header. Yes, City probably fortunate to get the 1-0 result in normal time but geez they deserve the trophy. Great team. Congratulations all you City supporters especially you Brian wherever you may be.

11th June 2023 at 7:15 am #207393I thought Inter were unlucky and even the stats favoured them besides those nearly goals, but I’m happy for City fans, I have a lot of friends that support City and they all mostly decent people.

11th June 2023 at 7:31 am #207394They’ve whipped that Italian advert off the screen nice and quick regarding how good they were with the three Italian clubs making each of the European finals. End result, no trophies. Embarrassed much? 🙂

11th June 2023 at 8:46 am #207396I suspect Dzeko would have converted one of those chances had he still been on the pitch.

11th June 2023 at 8:43 pm #207400Just to set the record straight regarding how much Abu Dhabi have spent on their sportswashing campaign, the one where they didn’t break any rules in the process, regardless of what the evidence says…
(You silly numpty, even I was going to let it go for a bit so you muppets could enjoy it, but no, you had to go and open that can of worms…. 🙂 )

12th June 2023 at 11:25 am #207401Congrats to the City fans. Enjoy!
This might be slightly concerning for you though and quite welcome to the rest of us 😁

12th June 2023 at 11:28 am #207402Anyone who thinks state sponsored artificial inflation of revenues creating unfair competition is a thing of the past, forget it. Newcastle brazenly using every trick in the state ownership book of tips to eventually catch up with City and go past the rest of us
A new front-of-shirt sponsor for NUFC, Sela (£25m/season for the club). "Sela's website says it is owned by the country's sovereign wealth Public Investment Fund (PIF), which also holds an 80% stake in Newcastle". So brazen that it is – almost – comical. https://t.co/4TETeX4pX4

12th June 2023 at 7:54 pm #207407Arrived back home a couple of hours ago – what a weekend, best of my life, along with when my son was born.
What made it extra special was that he was there to share it with me – he sobbed like a baby at the final whistle, which then set me off.
It was brilliant from the minute we stepped off the plane, although UEFA did their very best to f**k it up (but I’ll share that with you in another post). The City fans outnumbered the Inter fans pretty much 2/3 to 1 in the city, although that could be down to them coming in just for the match due to their relatively shorter distance to travel._____________________________
