The despot Man City owners sound like they are upset at democracy in action. Complaining that the PL is run equally by clubs and they are therefore beholden to a majority ruling. How frustrating it must be for them.

6th June 2024 at 8:22 am #214868This is all just ridiculous alfie. This is just a deflection tactic. City fans should be embarrassed and this stage will turn even more fans againest them.
What is the point if city come through all this with just a fine. They ate taking tye absolute piss

6th June 2024 at 8:41 am #214869If they win this, not only can they no inflate associated sponsorship deals to whatever they want, they will also say the rules that concern many of the most damaging changes against are unlawful and should be dismissed.
If they win the PL will not survive.
Roll on the SL without these and any team who supports their cause.

6th June 2024 at 8:46 am #214870I, for one, would not be remotely upset if my lads throw the games by sending the under 16’s out twice a season…
They really are taking the piss now… can’t wait to hear the “excuses” from the 115 fans…

6th June 2024 at 8:59 am #214871It’s such a glorious PR campaign by the ABu Dahbi ruling classes isn’t it? Manages to turn the club into the most despised club in the country…

6th June 2024 at 9:32 am #214872Sean, I think we all know that the City fans won’t care a bit. They will defend the indefensible. Remember, they are the underdogs, a mere state owned club up against the ‘tyranny of the majority’ which includes Luton fucking Town.
This is what happens when you allow despots into the league, it will eat itself whole.

6th June 2024 at 1:13 pm #214873Can see City gaining more support from other team owners to be honest.
You’re a “normal” team owner with a team in the PL. If City win you have basically unlimited spending through the newly non-regulated associate sponsorships. You’ll probably not be able do anything with it as you’re just a normal billionaire and not a sovereign state and are unwilling to throw billions of your own money at the club. But what you do have is a very sellable product to flog to mega rich state heads or lunatics with billions to burn. Now City’s actions are in your interests too.
Premier league football will die, but some rich guys will get richer.

6th June 2024 at 1:42 pm #214874That’s one way of looking at it…
Another way would be with the exception of the Bone Saw Boyz, who would really “benefit”? The rules are “broken”, those two run away with 1st & 2nd every year… maybe another club gets some despot owners to sow up 3rd place… then all those watching who might be tempted will also note those 2, possibly 3, clubs are basically considered scum of the universe and think is it realy worth spending 3/4/5 billion quid to join that “elite” gang?
I think the more likely hood is the 115 end up playing in some stupid Middle East league… and I’ll book the taxi for ’em! (Not paying for it though, 🙂 )

24th June 2024 at 4:00 pm #214963So, let me get this straight, Jammy Dodgers and the Villains (great name for an indie band or what?) are both in “trouble” with FFP, so they take it in turns to buy players from each other?!?!? Who else smells a rat here?
Oh, and the bloke who realeased all the “made-up” emails the 115 says are doctored, now suggests he has a hell of a lot more “made-up” emails…
Football really needs a clean-up…

27th July 2024 at 3:03 pm #215157Opps sorry Ed, seems putting two links in a post upsets the system (This post is awaiting moderation).
Anyway, the 24/25 PL handbook is released with no changes to the financial side, so either City’s challenge to the APT with regards to FMV is still ongoing or, more likely as was a while ago, they lost.

30th July 2024 at 11:37 am #215162Yeah apologies for that Threeps. I think it’s when multiple links are included, it flags it up as potential spam.

13th August 2024 at 8:54 am #215215So, their “it isn’t fair” case should be sorted in the next couple of weeks, before their “didn’t do it” 115 charges which is apparently next month…
As much as we all know they’re as guilty as Buffy sitting next to a big pile of poo, I think we’re all expecting them not to found guilty at all… putting the ass in class all the way!

13th September 2024 at 9:38 am #215555Case starts on Monday, and they need a new nickname as there are more than 115 charges.

7th October 2024 at 2:48 pm #215914The end of the PL is here. Why would anyone think sponsoring your own football club with your own companies is not a conflict of interest.

7th October 2024 at 4:04 pm #215915Oh dear but to be expected.
The real irony here, in my mind, is the “slavemasters” of Abu Dhabi doing all of this in some sort of sportswashing campaign to improve their standing in the global community… and it’s cost them billions for only 98% of the world to think they’re even bigger pricks than we did before hand….

7th October 2024 at 5:20 pm #215918You can tell the scumbags have got journalists on their payroll when they use words like they won against the cartel etc.
Turns out things are not as they seem and it will have no impact on their 115 charges.

7th October 2024 at 6:04 pm #215919City win the 1st case as laid out everywhere except by the PL who are trying to make public believe they won 🤣🤣🤣.

7th October 2024 at 6:33 pm #215920Having read a bit more, it actually looks bad for city, they lost most of the motions. The ones they won won’t impact the 115 charges, and will probably only result in a rewording of some rules.
If you read the headlines they mainly state ‘City claim victory’……yet that is further from the truth. If the 115 charges hit City hard, they will use this PR to claim they were hard done by.
Absolute joke of a club and the journalist who have followed City’s side of the story should hang their head in shame.
