I think there’s some work for Pep to do in the transfer market this Summer especially defensively and last night they caught a dose of Chelseaitis too completely dominating the game in the early stages but just not taking their chances.

30th January 2020 at 11:13 am #65334Another splendind performance by Utd last night, and had we had all our best players available, the game might have had a different outcome.

30th January 2020 at 1:39 pm #65343Taking nothing away from United because it was a good effort from them last night but despite City dominating and not scoring in the early stages of the game it’s often confusing for the team with a 2 goal lead in the second leg of the game as to whether they stick or twist especially when the lead gets unexpectedly cut which amplifies the desire to stick.
It might have been a more interesting game had Rashford, Pogba and McTominay been fit but I guess City could make the same claim re their missing players too.

30th January 2020 at 2:42 pm #65358Nine, you are right laporte and Fernandino as the CB would have made a difference. Rodri was caught in two minds where he was playing but I suspect he was doing plenty of covering as well although Otemendi had a decent game and Martial was kept quiet where I thought the threat would come from. We should have won this game with goals to spare, we did not sow bit more shooting practise guys for week end

To be fair I think we all know Brian well enough to know how fair minded he is.
Your points above are impossible to argue with but as United fans proved outside Ed Woodward’s house and also do when they play Liverpool doing similar we do all have our idiots.

30th January 2020 at 4:37 pm #65383Maverick the world will never be perfect, idiots will, unfortunately appear and re appear. I just wonder if you have more against City than the event, Every City fan I know has always respected Munich disaster and as a Club we have shown every respect on a number of occasions. The idiots you refer to are just that, every club has them including Utd and it makes me wonder if the same idiots are part of a tribe with no interest in football but an interest in conflict It is no good pointing fingers unless you know the real facts

30th January 2020 at 5:04 pm #65387Nine, I think a lot of the top sides, aside from City and Liverpool, suffer with the same problems re having all the chances. Utd had 23 shots and 73% of the ball against Burnley and yet still deserved nothing against them.
City deserved nothing yesterday either. They had 2 more shots on target than Utd yesterday despite a much depleted Utd side and one that played with 10 men for the last 10mins. They dominated the first 15mins, though, granted.
City definitely edged the tie over the 180mins though. I’d be slightly concerned as a City fan, though, to not be more convincing against an awful Utd side with 18 and 19yr old academy players.
As for the plane stuff, all very silly. I doubt Adlab will be starting a thread about it though! ?
