A Manchester Derby and a Midlands Derby with the first legs over the next couple of nights and live on Sky promises much let’s hope the games live up to that promise.
For Ole it’s a chance to win United a trophy which would go a long way to helping him retain his job next season. City though over two legs will be a tough nut to crack.
The other Semi Final between Villa and Leicester on form suggests a Leicester win but as always with football you just never know.

7th January 2020 at 8:36 pm #57972Lovely ball from Bernardo Silva. City really are a delight to watch with some of their football.

7th January 2020 at 8:41 pm #57973Becoming embarrassing now. Ole can’t survive for much longer now that we’re even losing to the top sides

7th January 2020 at 8:45 pm #57974Ed, look how weak that Utd team is.
Who is missing? Pogba, martial and maguire thatβs only really 3 players
Utd need about 6 players donβt they really
Perrira should be no were near that team or lingard
I like the left back and greenwood but they are still so young.

7th January 2020 at 9:01 pm #57976Yeah I don’t know where to start Sean. In fairness, we showed against Spurs and City that this lot can put a performance in but Ole just has no clue if his counter attacking doesn’t work.
Can’t see Ole lasting much longer at all at this rate

7th January 2020 at 9:01 pm #57977McTominay is a big miss too Sean. He’s probably been our best midfielder this season.

7th January 2020 at 9:02 pm #579780-3 and how many more chances were missed? Scary stuff. Love to be up there in the stands listening to what Rooney, Giggs and others must be saying about this lot and wait for the remainder of the United pundits like Ferdinand and Neville to have their say. Anyway there’s still a second half to go and, well, you never know. Could it possibly be a game of two halves and a 3-3 result? Stranger things have happened. Liverpool in Istanbul comes to mind π

7th January 2020 at 9:09 pm #57981But who would they put in now? Do they throw in Carrick until the summer? Or can they get someone more permanent in? Or have they identified any transfer targets this month? (that could allow Solksjaer to limp to the summer and then they can make the change).

7th January 2020 at 9:19 pm #57985That’s the big question Mikus. No idea what we’d do now even if we got rid of Ole tomorrow. I’d like to think they have a plan for such but I’m not holding my breath ?

7th January 2020 at 9:32 pm #57987Brandon Williams again one of the few positives here tonight. Huge improvement on Shaw. So much fight in him, even at 3-0 down

7th January 2020 at 10:23 pm #57988Ithink Pep taught me and Ole a tactical lesson tonight. Yes we were good but the tactics were to leave two not very good Utd CBs with nobody to mark whilst we swamped the midfield.
A thought ? How manygoals would Rashford score if he played for us?
But its only HT,!

7th January 2020 at 10:43 pm #57990United improved second half. I will tell anyone who is shouting from the rooftops about Ole has to go. hold your horses. what tonight’s match has shown is the class between the two Manchester teams. and this traces back to the Fergie era. in Fergie’s last 3 seasons, City has been improving whilst United has been declining. and Fergie covered those cracks. now that Fergie is no longer there. the cracks have widened, and they need replacements, not repairs anymore. on the other hand, Pep has a better squad and a better set up. credit to City for how they have run their club and how they have lured Guardiola one of the best coaches in Europe. but Ole needs wingers and box to box midfielders. his midfielders contribute zero goals. and only Rashford is a regular contributor, and he thrives on counters, and when United are not counter-attacking he looks useless.

Thats a spot on analysis except you have to remember Utd have also spent substantially in the past few years as well as City._____________________________
