Yep definitely you Nil and now Nancy as well
You as a Liverpool fan more so
You’ve won the biggest trophies seen amazing seasons bought expensive players and when someone else does it it’s all doom and gloomPoor baby
Nancy is as bad, in case you haven’t noticed the spuds haven’t won a thing since double b was in nappies!
They have as much to look forward to as any other season
Same for 99% of all fans and clubs
Constant whinging and moaning and doom and gloom over other clubs who have more money is pathetic
Fsg, levey the kroenkes are all bad owners (tho at least fsg gave you what should have bee. The most amazing few years but not enough for the poor baby)
I don’t care if city but Kane, messi and haaland
Is it fair? Who cares, it is what it is so man the fuck up you pair of miserable self entitled tits!!_____________________________

7th August 2021 at 7:59 am #182370When City back out and somebody offer 100-120 Million. he will take it.”
But who bar City will offer for Kane Brian?
The major Clubs in Europe are on their knees financially and can’t afford Kane, City apart the only two or three Clubs in the PL that might be able to afford to buy Kane either aren’t in a position to do so or are looking to strengthen elsewhere.
Pep has confirmed that City want to negotiate a deal for Kane if that doesn’t happen I think Kane and Spurs are likely stuck with each other at least for another season.

7th August 2021 at 8:14 am #182371That’s it Nine. It’s City or staying at Spurs. Those are his options. Lots of sides would love Kane but, as you say, they either can’t afford him or they don’t need him badly enough to pay what City would be prepared to pay

7th August 2021 at 8:18 am #182372Nil, no one should begrudge what city spend. Who really cares mate?
I’d never begrudge city or Chelsea their success cause they had billionaire owners who have done a lot for their communities etc. It really bothers banjo 😂 and
Nine and Brian have seen it all. They supported their clubs when they were in the 2nd division and Chelsea nearly folded under bates.
Psg now that’s a different story. It’s a crap league and they buy players for the now on absolutely ridiculous money. Ramos a prime example. As Ed said how sad it be that messi will end up there.
I’ve always been messi over Ronaldo but at least Ronaldo has had the balls to go to other leagues. Maybe messi has no other choice but it’s very sad the way it’s going to end.

7th August 2021 at 11:55 am #182373Is it jealously? Some of it is, for sure, and I’m sure I’m not the only fan who would love to see my boys trade places with one of the new “mega” clubs.
But it’s more about the spirit of the game, the “idea” that at the end of the day it’s 11 vs 11 on a level playing field (even with dog muck!), but that has been trampled all over.
As Buffy says, I live in Finland (and apart from the shitty winters) it’s a great place to live. There’s an element of fairness, a spirit whereby people look out for each other, a notion about the “greater good”. Basically, there isn’t so much with regards to making sure you “piss” over whoever stands in your way to get to the top of the tree.
My Finnish friends who follow Prem footy are all asking me about how the powers that be can ruin the most competitive league in the world by allowing what is happening to the game to happen, a game that England gave to the world.
You may say or even claim it goes in cycles, and that cycles come and go. But to me this isn’t about cycles. There’s always going to a club with the biggest checkbook, but let’s look at this. We’ve gone from wealthy families like the Moore’s with Liverpool, to the Walker’s of Blackburn, to the craziness of Leeds, to the oligarch’s from Russia, to a time and place whereby if you want to compete at the top of the table, you need a sovereign state to back you now.
It’s not football anymore, it’s not a game whereby any club can genuinely compete. Yes, it’s a dream for the vast majority of clubs to get to the top of the table, but now we’ve reached a stage whereby big clubs like Spurs, Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle, Leeds, Villa, are basically making up the numbers now… even clubs like Liverpool are going to struggle to ever “get back” (Sorry, but Klopp’s win was based on a combination of events that will not repeat again. Liverpool will never win the Prem again, not with their current owners).
The League, for the foreseeable future, is City’s to lose, with Chelsea hovering around to jump in if City get unlucky with injuries or something, and the other Manchester club waiting in the wings… it’s pointless to even think about anybody else… not unless perhaps the Saudi’s need a “sport washing” plaything and happen to buy a club. But then again, there are only so many dodgy countries with money who need the “PR”.
Football sold its soul decades ago, we all know that, but it’s reached a point now I don’t even recognize the game anymore. It used to be about what happened on the pitch, but not anymore. There may be a “shock” result here and there, but that’s about it. The game I remember and fell in love with is finished.
And it’s certainly not personal with the City or Chelsea lads, but the “notion” that we should all be happy for them as they had some shitty times following their respective clubs is just stupid. The owners of their clubs have done more than most to kill this game. I’m glad they’re happy with their success, and undoubtedly their success will continue, but was it really a price worth paying?

7th August 2021 at 12:11 pm #182374Would I cheer every time my boys picked up a pot after the Saudi’s took over and spent billions? I probably would, I’d simply tell myself if it’s okay for the Chelsea and City lads to do it, then it’s fine for me.
Would I like to think part of me would actually be a little bit embarrassed, or even ashamed (especially if it was the bloody Saudi’s)? I certainly bloody hope so.
But worst of all, do I genuinely think the only time I’ll ever see my team when the league is if the Saudi’s took over in the first place? 100% I do. Sure, we might get a Cup or two every other decade or so, but we all know anybody can get lucky in the Cups, don’t we? It’s the league that is the real yardstick.

7th August 2021 at 12:20 pm #182375And with that, I will bid you all farewell. I really can’t be arsenal-ed to read all the “well done, City” posts, and all the sitting on the fence bull-shit that goes on here from time to time. That ‘club’ has done more than most to ruin the game.
I sincerely wish each and every one of you best wishes, especially those of you who are facing some serious challenges in real life and say my goodbyes.
There would be little point in me posting on here about football. The game I fell in love with is dead and I don’t care for the version that exists today. I certainly won’t be posting any complementary and this way Sweddy doesn’t have to kick me out…. 🙂
Goodbye and good luck to you all.

7th August 2021 at 12:31 pm #182376Quite so Banjo. The target now by a lot of these owners is to simply obliterate all the opposition and price everybody else out. That ain’t sport. The argument was that to break the stranglehold of more traditional teams like Man Utd in the 90s and 00s, there was simply no other way. But Arsene Wenger proved otherwise, and by changing a lot of the culture at the club, that was the main thing that made them able to compete with Man Utd. Indeed it was always a poignant moment for me when Wenger, who developed a lot of his players, saw them pay him back by demanding moves to bigger clubs whilst also believing that there was still such a thing as trust when looking to bring players in like Martial. Wenger had to leave basically because he was somebody from a bygone era where such things still existed but no longer did anymore. And he watched the money and the “me, me, me” generation take over.

7th August 2021 at 12:46 pm #182378Chucky, c’mon mate there’s no need for that you’re genuinely a great contributor on here understandably you’re a bit fraught with the Kane situation.
Stick around and focus on what Spurs need to do to solve their current problems they were on the brink under Poch and with the right direction and the right Manager there’s every chance they can ultimately get back to that level again.

7th August 2021 at 1:24 pm #182379Jesus Christ banjo, what a meltdown ffs. Who really gives a flying fuck. It’s football
Liverpool won the league cause they won 26 of their 1st 27 games
When spurs had money. They have wasted it on shite. No fence sitting here and nothings stupid. It’s just opinions.
All the best crazy stuff from a grown man

7th August 2021 at 1:56 pm #182381We can all get a bit too stressed out over the footie and particularly our Club’s successes or failures but you have to balance out what’s important in life and not let football and following our Clubs overshadow that.
At the end of the day football is just a bag of air that 22 players chase after.😊

No Ederson, Walker, Stones, Zinchenko, KDB, Laporte, Foden, Sterling, Jesus
and Rodri and Bernardo on the bench with Grealish.
Heaven knows what team we can put out next week!_____________________________

7th August 2021 at 5:35 pm #182387We’re seeing more of a level playing field with tv money so teams can actually go out and spend.
My whole thing from a Liverpool POV is generally there should be a level of competition rather than just being about a small handful of teams in dominance.
It has been going for a long time and I weren’t really that bothered e.g. when Chelsea were spending. I’m didn’t any qualms about Man City. It’s the threat levels admittedly that comes to light and being told in one shape of form or another that 100 million is justified.
Nine/Sean, you’re right Gents. Everyone just ease a little make an effort to be more kind and understanding towards difference of opinions.
Cheers
P.S. Chucks stay mate, you’re one of the good guys.

7th August 2021 at 7:15 pm #182392Nike. Hope your sentiment is right! But every game will have controversy mainly caused by utterly rotten refs. They should have watched the refs in the Euros. Not a bafoon like we had today and my friend Oliver.
