17th July 2021 at 11:13 am #18176580+ points nine, thats the target for me. We may get 95 and still not win based on precedents set by pool and city recently and as such city then pool remain favourites for the title imo.

17th July 2021 at 11:15 am #181766Ye I agree with that nine mate. The moneys there so as you say, go all out yo get Halland.
Ye I donβt expect a title challenge from Liverpool to be honest mate. We have no money and Iβm concerned about all the injuries we pick up.
In midfield we have fabhino, thisgo, hendo, keita abd ox. All of who miss big chunks of every season. Winjildium constantly played. We need to replace him
News is we need to sell to buy. If we can keep everyone fit then we can have a good season and we badly badly need our fans this season

17th July 2021 at 12:43 pm #181767Tbh Sean I think even if Chelsea make a cash offer of Β£150m for Haaland I’m not sure Dortmund will sell him it feels a bit like mission impossible to me and there are few if any realistic alternatives.
Liverpool will eventually replace Wijnaldum this Summer they’ve strengthened at Centre back and have VVD and Gomez coming back like you I’m not sure they’ll win it this season but they won’t be far away imo.

17th July 2021 at 1:23 pm #181769I don’t want to be a harbinger of doom but I think we’ve tried to do too much too soon re Covid and I can’t see amongst many other things we’ve got wrong capacity crowds being allowed in our football Stadiums for too long personally I will be suprised if by the time we get to September perhaps even before we’re not going to have to retrace a number of the relaxations on the lockdown rules we’ve made including fans in Stadiums.
Hope I’m wrong though.

17th July 2021 at 6:27 pm #181772Amazing how normalised we become to football inflation. White would probably have cost half of that just a few seasons ago.

17th July 2021 at 8:18 pm #181777Nine…you are right….we are just asking for trouble inviting full capacity crowds. We do not have this under control by any means and it will get worse not because of what the Govt, any Govt says or does….it is down to people to act responsibly and we know now…..they are just not going to do that. I cannot help but smile at people going through all that hassle and expense when they could sit in the garden and enjoy OUR sun!!!

17th July 2021 at 8:37 pm #181783It’s just a bit of fun Brian and merely an indication as to where people are putting their money.
Tbh most of the views expressed on here re the front runners track the current odds quite closely and if we had a vote on here like it or not I suspect City would get the most votes as title winners they get my vote currently to retain their title.
All a bit too early to make any firm predictions yet though imo and the Summer transfer window could well have an impact. Cheers 9’s

17th July 2021 at 10:06 pm #181785Cityβs season will depend on transfers…players have to leave I suspect for a couple of good players in not sure we should be favorites

18th July 2021 at 8:10 am #181786I really do not rate Ole as a manager and I think he will be their downfall. They have had the squad to challenge for over a year now and haven’t. I also think ManU got lucky with injuries last season. If some one of or even both of Maguire and Fernandes get injured they are in trouble. They showed last season, no Fernandes, no creativity.

18th July 2021 at 9:43 am #181787Not looking forward to it that much, to be honest, I have a suspicion the best we can hope for is to finish above the Goon Show and perhaps the Mini-Not-Quite-Europa-And-Certainly-Not-Champions-League-Cup, maybe even Top 8…
Anyway, as everybody says, if you finish above MoneyBags then you’ll be Champions.

18th July 2021 at 9:54 am #181788If people are fully vaccinated then they should be allowed into games. Pcr tests aswell. We have to move forward now lads. We canβt go into another lockdown.
Mikius, we kept hearing Covid would mean cheaper fees but 50m for white is ridiculous
Villa sign a championship winger for 35m

18th July 2021 at 10:05 am #181791Nine…i know it is a bit of fun, but only if you are not hooked and go into massive debt, the family suffer…that is what I do not like about betting, destroys families, I have seen it personally and you can read plenty about it. I see no plusses in loosing money or being tempted by odds. OK, Iam grumpy on this subject

18th July 2021 at 11:03 am #181794Brian that’s fair enough and gambling is a massive problem.
However, your moral objection to gambling doesn’t negate the fact that city are odds on with bookies for title because they have the best team and have a higher probability than any other team of winning the title.
Bottom line is city are favourites and its as objective as an opinion can get as you won’t find one football fan who would say with a straight face that another team is more likely to win it than your city mate.
