Kane fails to turn up again so that’s then the end of Spurs and Kane.

3rd August 2021 at 12:02 pm #182200Phew, panic over people. Harry’s decided he’ll come back later in the week π. The absolute cheek of it. “He trains when he wants, he trains when he wants…”
Harry Kaneβs planning to return to training with Tottenham later this week. The situation regarding his future is still unresolved – to be discussed with the club βͺοΈπ¨ #THFC
Harry will be back soon. Spurs were aware of his desire to try a new challenge, and to play UCL football.

3rd August 2021 at 12:59 pm #182204City players likely to be offered in part exchange for Kane is another problem how many of them will want to join Spurs and swap the CL for the Europa Conference League and even putting that aside Spurs will struggle to get anywhere near their salaries at City.

3rd August 2021 at 1:10 pm #182207That’s probably true Mikus but will City players want to go and play for a lesser Club in lesser competitions for less money. That sounds like a tough sell to me.

3rd August 2021 at 2:43 pm #182211Sean – I think selling Nat Phillips could be a mistake. I think he earned his stripes last year, however if our main defenders keep their fitness it could be money better used elsewhere, particularly with Konate coming in.
I really want to see us sign a midfielder that compliments Thiago. If we can get the best out of him our front 3 will surely profit.
I think the PL is far too competitive to say the title is City’s if they sign Kane and Grealish. We will need to avoid bad luck in the treatment room to stand a chance. Man Utd should be competitive, but I think the title of underdogs has helped Ole, they can’t claim anything of the sort now with the money spent and key targets acquired, pressure will be on from the first kick. That leaves Chelsea as the final title contender, and they could well cause an upset. If they don’t sign a top class striker, Werner hitting form is a must for them._____________________________

3rd August 2021 at 4:01 pm #182213Whatever happens now, there are no winners in this saga, Spurs will be the biggest looser, they will hold on to a vastly depreciating asset, they must have a good bank Manager City will not pay that kind of money, neither will Chelsea/Utd but when the City bid is withdrawn Spurs will sell for 100 million, that is what Mr levy really wants, just not to City

3rd August 2021 at 5:37 pm #182215AnonymousReally Spurs should let him go they going to end up looking bad, to add a footballer does not have a long career, Harry Kane is not a rich man so he needs to make as much as possible while he still can. Though I suppose he could become a pundit.

3rd August 2021 at 7:48 pm #182216Harry, ye the worry is matip and Gomez will get injured again so Iβd keep Philips. Fabhino cannot be used a centre back this season.
Good news fabhino and taa have signed long term contracts

3rd August 2021 at 8:18 pm #182218Chuky…I just do not understand how “fans” get so upset if a player wants to leave. As long as I have watched football and before that players have always been the same, years ago there this kind of thing did not happen, fans just accepted that the player moved on. Fans now believe in the “loyalty card”. It is a myth. There are few examples in the modern game at this level of football. If this had been a lesser player than Kane nobody would have blinked an eye. As to contracts, that is another matter. A Club and a player should fully understand what is in the contract. Gentlemans agreement is from a bygone era and not relevant as hard as it maybe for Mr Kane but he should have had better advise at the time of signing. Mr Levy knew what he was doing. As I said before there are no winners in this, City will not play Mr Levy’s game and the end result will be he looses. I actually think City would increase there offer but only slightly but I am really living in hope you keep him. Hope it all finishes soon though and he signs for Chelsea or Utd
