Save of the season for me from an LFC point of view – could be a defining moment for us.

24th February 2019 at 2:50 pm #34139This game is there for the taking for Liverpool now even a draw would surely be a disappointment from here.

24th February 2019 at 2:53 pm #34143AnonymousVery bad management selecting all these players that were already injury suspects but knowing Uniteds luck they will still sneak a win against the run of play

24th February 2019 at 2:56 pm #34144Liverpool still missing (as they have all season) a midfield attack link man. Shaqiri/Keita have to come on at some point you’d have to think.

24th February 2019 at 2:59 pm #34146Terrible luck with all those injuries. We’ll do well to get a draw here. Our biggest goal threat in Rashford limping around too. No chance of getting 3 points here. It was hard enough at full strength.

24th February 2019 at 3:00 pm #34147The big thing for me is to go into half-time with a clean sheet.
There were two/three hearts in mouth moments, but the main one involving Allison was dealt with, first class.
Other than that, our midfield deserve the plaudits in being able to handle themselves and protect our back 4.
With the injuries that United have had to deal with, they still have quality on the pitch, but you feel from a Liverpool POV maybe all 3 points is there for the taking.

24th February 2019 at 3:02 pm #34148Mikus, don’t like to say this, but from your point, Coutinho springs to my mind.
He would have buried one of those set pieces and get around the back to finish from close range past De Gea.
Shaqiri is a good hope for us though – glad too to see Sturridge on the pitch.

24th February 2019 at 3:07 pm #34149Utd doing well to keep it 0-0. This is when Pogba should try to be the £90m player but as yet no evidence of this. I reckon Milner will be lucky to stay on. Oliver loves a red card.

24th February 2019 at 3:09 pm #34150AnonymousWhat a rubbish match so far. the quality of football is just shocking. there is a window where you will forgive tentative play from both sides but to go the entire first half without either side really etching any kind of mark in the play, is unacceptable. You could give out to either side for not taking advantage and I know it’ll be easier to suggest that Liverpool should be doing more but Utd have had the better chances.
We see the game being there for the taking and I hope Klopp was soaking all of that in, with a plan in mind. The same shit won’t do in the next 45. I think we’ll see the game open up a bit as the teams finally adapt.
I will be really upset if this finishes 0-0… anything worse goes without saying.
Losing Firmino is going to be really hard to overcome, especially since Sturridge is such a waster. I have thoroughly enjoyed his goals over the years but he’s clearly not interested anymore. I hope he proves me wrong and does a Chelsea but if he puts out what he did against any of the following matches, we’re in trouble… and I will say that Klopp should have put origi on instead. neither BTW are good enough for us but thats another story. (still very thankful for Origi not giving up against everton… he earned his transfer fee that day).

24th February 2019 at 3:12 pm #34152Ed. But these are the games you want it. Not against lower teams. Lets see. I hope you win today from our perspective. Still second half.

24th February 2019 at 3:12 pm #34153Big save from Alisson on Lingard and credit to Lingard for staying on his feet. So many go down in that scenario but he’s really tried to stay on his feet there

24th February 2019 at 3:16 pm #34155I think Pogba has struggled today without Matic and Herrera. Meaning he can’t play as free as he’s been doing recently
