23rd February 2019 at 10:11 pm #34072Strange reaction from Poch seemingly Mike Dean said something which is equally as odd. But you can’t react like that and when Poch got his head together he knew that.
Silly really because although it wasn’t a corner Spurs could have still defended it and Spurs got away with one with the throw in that led to their goal.

23rd February 2019 at 10:23 pm #34073Agree Nine, I grow tired of people shifting the blame. But instead the media narrative tends to be “but it shows his passion!”.

23rd February 2019 at 10:30 pm #34074The Dealership afterwards with ‘trained Press and Reporters’ what not are the problem.
Not a cliche` but as humble as I would like to be, I’m just tired of this.
Purely because for a Manager, it feels a Postmortem even on a win.
5 Minutes Maximum Time Frame; Get Your Questions In; Yay Or Nay, and that’s the Planet We Should Be Living In. Sanity and Decency.

24th February 2019 at 5:52 am #34075AnonymousI too am sick of post match interviews but it’s mostly down to the leading questions from these shit media companies whoa re just trying to whip up a headline.
I think the PL need to do away with the obligation for managers to talk to the press after matches. It’s either that or change the format entirely and/or have some form of official to cut in and shut reporters down when they step out of line. This might sound OTT and maybe it is but I just get tired of these vultures and the companies/owners (Sky/Murdoch mostly) and their incessant dumbing down and cheapening of our sport.

24th February 2019 at 7:40 am #34078I don’t think it’s the sit down post match press conferences that are the problem it’s the TV interviews straight after the game when emotions are still running high and the wrong things get said. But he who pays the Piper calls the tune.
Although the above had nothing to do with how Poch and Perez reacted on the pitch post the Burnley game.

24th February 2019 at 7:44 am #34079League Cup Final this afternoon with the first bit of silverware of the season up for grabs. Whatever happens I just hope that Chelsea don’t get embarrassed again and that we give City a decent game.”

24th February 2019 at 8:02 am #34080Did realise until today but Liverpool’s next three away games are away to United, Everton and Bayern.
Season defining games where you can’t rest anyone and have to play your best teams but if they come through them ok they will be well set up for the run in in both competitions.

24th February 2019 at 8:31 am #34082Everton should be straightforward. They are not playing well. I also think Liverpool have a real chance at Bayern. We went there given no chance and won. If they play without fead they an do it.

24th February 2019 at 8:54 am #34084Yeah Everton are poor and never turn up against Liverpool so if they get through today, as I suspect, they’re in with a real chance of continuing with that lead of City going into that final 10 game stretch.
Out of interest, what would people’s combined Utd Liv XI be? Aside from DDG, Pogba and Rashford, I think it would be all Liverpool players if I’m honest. Rashford just edges out Firmino IMO, especially on current form. Pogba has to be in there somewhere and DDG is a still the more reliable of the two keepers.

24th February 2019 at 9:00 am #34086I beg to differ and money shouldn’t overrule decency.
There should be guidelines and a time limit. Klopp told them on their faces that they’re asking for the same thing but just worded differently.
There’s always some sort of a ‘he’s on trial’ or a negative spin even when the bloke may probably be feeling optimistic.
I personally have stopped watching pre-match build ups now, even if we are doing good. There’s just far too much BS and these leeches get paid for it.

24th February 2019 at 9:14 am #34087A draw would be enough to take us back to the Top Of The Table, but I hope we really give it our all and be a class act. A win today would be exceptional. Here’s hoping.

24th February 2019 at 9:48 am #34088It’s rumoured neither Martial or Matic are likely to feature today which could be a boost for us.
I hope Klopp plays Fabinho, Milner and Gini in Midfield. Good to have Van Dijk and Trent back.

24th February 2019 at 11:43 am #34090Nil, don’t disagree with that mate and it’s primarily the immediate post match TV interviews where Managers potentially lose the plot.
I’m sure Klopp and the majority of Managers would prefer not to do them but you have to balance that against the PL TV monies the Club’s earn every season, Liverpool for instance earned circa £140m. last season.

24th February 2019 at 1:50 pm #34094Well, didn’t think Klopp would opt for this, but understandably, he’s gone more for protection installing Gini, Hendo and Fabinho in the middle of the park with Milner at right-back.
Maybe Trent is just eased back into the first team but to be fair to him did feature on Tuesday night so perhaps a bit of a rest.

24th February 2019 at 1:52 pm #34095Puel sacked by Leicester… rags saying Rodgers is the favourite, which wouldn’t be a bad move for him. Still think Rodgers would be a great fit for Newcastle too…
