Maybe that’s down to how we are tactically or more credit to the opposing defence.
I have bleated on about this many times, and that’s the player we had that not only was our free-kick specialist, but the little magician that would cut inside from the left and UNLEASH ONE.
Nobody really has replace him nor his role since. We are not that direct enough to shoot when the onus is on us to attack. We are more lethal though on the counter because we find space and execute our threat well.
This summer we’re going to need a hit-man because Salah can’t be relied on nor should he be carried that weight of pressure alone. Sturridge is Sturridge and on the fringes, as with Origi. They’re not guaranteed to be game-changers every game.
A big plus though is that we have improved this season massively as far as our defence goes, and nobody really cant criticise us for that. We can now deliver a more of a measured game and grind out draws if need be.

24th February 2019 at 4:22 pm #34200I’m kind of slanting in the direction of Chelsea for this one but equally, don’t really matter if Man City win it.
Best of luck to both sets of supporters.

24th February 2019 at 4:46 pm #34203AnonymousWhat Liverpool have shown a number of times recently, is that they do not have what it takes to win the PL.
Man Utd were just crap today. They were “there for the taking” as sky will say it, even if they are sensationalistic fucking morons.
I don’t know where to start about us today. We were a team under pressure, who showed it. We weren’t under pressure in terms of football.. but it’s only a bloody miracle that we weren’t, or we’d have folded. As utterly awful as Utd were, we had NO IDEA how to make anything of it.
We’ve gained a point but lost the league.

24th February 2019 at 4:48 pm #34204AnonymousYou’ve got to have backbone in order to win titles. Where was the character?
We’ll win disappointment. Champions in that regard. Fucking Liverpool.

24th February 2019 at 4:59 pm #34207Would Man City win all their remaining 11 games though?

24th February 2019 at 5:00 pm #34208Cup final. Nobody looks like scoring as yet. We have the usual possession with Chelsea defending deep. Yellow for Luiz there! He looks rattled….

24th February 2019 at 5:11 pm #34211A bit like Poch yesterday, I found the post match interview somewhat contradictory. Yesterday Poch said they didnt deserve to lose but were disappointed they didn’t show more. And today Klopp said he couldn’t fault the attitude of the players (which he said was always first class) yet he also said we didn’t do enough things at the top end of the pitch. As I say, I think neither manager is ruthless enough.

24th February 2019 at 5:15 pm #34212tv scheduling don’t help though lumping the games in one day. Maybe the hype leads to pressure and too much in weight of expectation.

24th February 2019 at 5:20 pm #34213Looks like Sarri has learned that it’s not a good idea to go toe to toe with City.
I’ll take a nil nil and a win on penalties.?
But I suspect it won’t come to that.

24th February 2019 at 5:26 pm #34214Nine much improved though mate against the last meeting.
I’d rather keep a clean sheet on some occasions than trying to please the audience.

24th February 2019 at 5:37 pm #34217It’s kinda interesting, opinions about football. When you’re own team are playing, you’d take a crappy one-nil as long as your own team got the points, but as a neutral, unless you’re entertained its crap. I didn’t think the YooUtd/Pool game was that bad, tailed off a bit in the 2nd half but I quite enjoyed the first half. Compare that to the Spuds game yesterday, that was one badly out of form team struggling against another team who simply Pogba’ed (just having a larff, Eddy!) the ball into the box at every opportunity… certainly playing the ‘don’t like it up ’em’ which I’m sure was not pretty to watch for the neutrals…
