Yep…and very few signs and evidence heβs going to turn a corner. Just doesnβt look particularly happy here.

5th November 2019 at 9:42 pm #51945AnonymousI’m not impressed with Liverpool tonight. I have had real life distractions and also had to switch streams, so by no means am I totally tuned in but we look toothless in attack and the defence just evaporates the very odd time.
We can’t play like this against City or they’ll absolutely batter us.

5th November 2019 at 9:46 pm #51946AnonymousTime to take off Salah. He should have been off ages ago TBH.

5th November 2019 at 9:50 pm #51947AnonymousSalah is super low on confidence, so maybe Im wrong. I mean he’s done loads right but I have never felt he was ever going to score. Maybe just fighting on until you get the break through is the answer.. what do I know.

5th November 2019 at 9:52 pm #51948Think Origi was bright. But Salah is definitely the most βluxuryβ player in our front 3. I remember some Utd friends some years ago always stress that Rooney was always the most important player in the Ronaldo/Rooney partnership. And itβs similar with us with Mane & Firmino being the sparks that generally make things happen.
Another win anyway.

5th November 2019 at 9:56 pm #51950AnonymousI’m not sure what to say. The line-up really intrigued me but of course I had mis-read it and thought we had Robertson. Milner at LB made it samey samey TBH bar Keita and Ox combo.
Oxlade has a future at the club but Keita doesn’t. In years gone by, I didn’t like fans saying these kinds of things because I felt bad for the player. The thing is, that hasn’t changed, yet I’m just being honest in admitting that his time at the club has got to come to an end. I’ll wish the lad all the best and know he’ll almost certainly go on to have a better life than myself, so he’ll be alright but he doesn’t belong here.
I had trouble really focusing on tonight game for a multitude of reasons, so the defensive lapses and some other things got past me tonight, I’ll just admit. It’s a shame too because I’d like to have given Gomez a rating.
We won but I am not sure when I’ve cared less to watch a Liverpool game.

5th November 2019 at 9:57 pm #51952We were made to work for that win.
The fact that were there was only a difference of one goal showed Genk more determined than ever to equalizer and they had every right to. We can’t take for granted concentration and playing time fading away without not expecting any response and challenge.
We have to beware of Man City trying to put on a late show if let’s say they were in this situation and they could quite easily force an equalizer.
A positive outlook though above all. The Crowd really appreciate Divock Origi almost completing a whole match.
2-1 and another win for The Reds π

5th November 2019 at 10:01 pm #51954Salah’s a regular goal-scorer so his mind is fixated in trying to find the back of the net.
I’d always recognise and support his endeavour but what I am highly critical of is him being selfish or overlooking another red jersey when they are in a clear and better position to have a clear shot on goal.

6th November 2019 at 7:36 pm #51984Been waiting to see that front 6 for Spuds all season, and Poncho does it in a game that isn’t on my telly!!
Not too sure about the back 5 though, have a suspicion we won’t be keeping a clean sheet somehow…

6th November 2019 at 8:09 pm #51985That was a clever build up and a well taken goal.
Liverpool need to be fully switched on for this come Sunday.
1-0 at Atlanta.

6th November 2019 at 8:19 pm #51986AnonymousNew balance, just depends on who pep has playing as Aguero rested usually means heβll start, Sterling will probably start and kdb missing out. Itβs an embarrassingly talent squad at city. Think youβll turn them over as the squad is rotated.
Who knows, hoping for a cracker probably get a sinker

6th November 2019 at 9:06 pm #519904-4-2, appreciate the good words, cheers.
I don’t want to get too confident, because in my World, that usually returns karma and some kind of a Blunder! Matip can’t play. It’d be crazy for Klopp to place Milner in Defence. I think Gomez will start, or Lovren.
We NEED IT, Spot On for Midfield. In all honesty, I don’t think our Front 3 are firing on all Cylinders, so Lallana and/or Oxlaid have to be included.
Cheers

7th November 2019 at 6:02 am #51997Did anybody see the Spuds game? Sounds like a decent a performance according to the reports, with N-Dumb and Lo Cecil looking decent in the middle of the park. Defense not as brilliant as it could be, with Dier perhaps being the pick of the bunch.
Hopefully as close to that starting line-up as possible on Saturday please, with the contract rebels on the bench (or even at home!).

7th November 2019 at 7:59 am #51999City are having a season from hell with all their injuries now Ederson was forced off due to injury at ht v Atlanta with Bravo coming on looking a lot less confident than Ederson he was subsequently sent off with Walker taking over in goal and City held on.
Big shame for City if Ederson is ruled out with such a big game coming up and whilst City have a great squad and Pep will select his strongest team for Sunday it’s very difficult for even City to cope with the amount of injuries they’re having to cope with currently.
A loss on Sunday would make it very difficult to recover from and make the title race a lot less interesting for the neutrals.

I can think of one neutral who couldn’t be any less interested in the title race already, let alone after Sunday…. π

7th November 2019 at 8:33 am #52001Nine, there is absolutely no doubt Ederson will play Sunday mate
Agree about cities injuries but it just shows how good a squad they have when they can field a starting 11 like they have done in previous weeks but Laporte is a massive loss and so is sane
Doesnβt matter how good the squad is, you would still badly miss those guys

7th November 2019 at 9:16 am #52004Chucky, “I can think of one neutral who couldnβt be any less interested in the title race already, let alone after Sundayβ¦. ?”
You must personally know tens of millions of neutrals then Chucky. π
I think most neutrals would prefer to see a title race going to the wire and that the majority wouldn’t want to see a ptocession as happened a couple of seasons ago.
