I find it difficult to pick between Ederson and Alisson. I nearly went with Ederson but I think Alisson hand;es the pressure better. Ederson is a brilliant keeper with top class instincts though.

This is essentially a city /Liverpool team but it’s because Liverpool and City are far and away the best teams in the world right now. I wasnt happy to leave firmino out there and honestly, I know i shoved sterling into midfield but.. well sue me…

We’re European Champions because we’re the best team in Europe.
Are our fullbacks the best? No. Trent isn’t good enough defensively.
Robertson absolutely is the best left back on the planet. There’s not a shadow of a doubt about that and if you look at my first posts about him, you’ll see that my view hasn’t changed a bit. I’m not on a hype train. He’s just world class, thats it.
trent can be amazing going forward. He has technique that reminds me of Gerrard. You’ll see it if you look.

So if TAA is miles off, then who is the best? Must be many in front of him.
We all know TAA can’t defend that well, and I think for most teams that would be a big problem. But in this Liverpool team it’s set up so that it isn’t. For our system there’s not another right back in the world I would take over him at this moment, so looking at this question as a LFC fan to me he is the best.
Did a quick Google search for a few publication’s opinions and saw names such as CΓ©sar Azpilicueta, Joshua Kimmich, Kevin Trippier (!), and even the BVB veteran Εukasz Piszczek mentioned, along with TAA. So looks like Ed is right, there’s not a lot of quality out there.

When comparing to great RB’s of the past, yes, TAA has a long way to go, but as 3P’s says above, there’s not a lot around at the moment for the greatest current RB in the World (on Wednesday’s) Title. I’d have him at the Lane in a heartbeat, and Robertson too. Best FB pairing on the planet and suit Pool’s style down to the ground. Both of ’em whip in a mean cross…
Pity they play for the Micky Mousers, otherwise I would really rate them! π

Just to avoid any misunderstanding, all I was saying was that it was either myself or Nine who blocked Chucky by mistake. It could just as easily have been me! Really not worth falling out about ?
