Mak, you’re not wrong imo mate if Conte hasn’t been wronged this season he hasn’t been helped by those above him although hand on Heart I don’t think Conte has helped himself.

Tbh I’m not ruling anything out mate and if Chelsea don’t come through v Leicester two Cup defeats in a week may be too much to take.

Personally if I was Roman I’d tell Conte to cut out the moaning, sign an extended contract and he can have a significant input into all Chelsea’s transfers if not I think sadly there has to be a parting of the ways because I don’t think we can go into such an important window for the club with a Manager who will only be there a season. I agree that he hasn’t helped himself. He’s a fiery guy from what little I’ve heard about him and I think we’ve seen just how important Matic was to him. Maybe he felt betrayed and maybe even like they had sabotaged his title winning team.

If I were Roman I’d have fired the board members who think they know more than a PL champion but yes, I’d also tell him to STFU .. but in a nice way, by easing his worries as much is reasonable. . . and to be fair, it is unreasonable to have your important players sold from under you.

We had kinda similar shit at Liverpool when H&G took over. I was miserable and lost all hope for us as a team. You could see that the players did also. A manager can;t survive this kind of thing and progress. It’s too unsettling for the players and the fans. there was so much in-fighting between Liverpool supporters. You had the Pro-Rafa people (me) and the anti-Rafa people (depressingly numerous).

If Conte goes into next season as Chelsea manage, expect this.

Mak, apart from falling out with Roman the Board and Costa perhaps understandably Conte has also fallen out with Luiz and Hazard.

I would be surprised if Conte goes past this season he’s clearly not happy and even if he could be made happier he only has a year of his contract to go and I think Hazard would be a definite gonner if he stays albeit he might be a gonner anyway.

Tbh I think Chelsea need a new start with lots happening at the club this Summer and for the benefit of both parties a parting of the ways is probably best for both parties.
