If Coutinho has gone and is not adequately replaced it puts Liverpool’s ability to finish in a CL place in jeopardy.

As well as the points above made why he’s moved.

Playing for a bigger and better team (Certainly in the last
25 years)

He wants to win honours (50/50 if he wins the Spanish league
nearly every season)

Shame for the Premier league.As he was.No doubts one of the finest
players in our league for a good few years now.

Nil-Pagan is spot on mate,EPL teams have only 2 ways to stop all this:
1]-Develop their own players.i.e.Lampard,Gerrard,Shearer,Cole[s],Terry,Rio,Campbell,Scholes,Giggs,-players that were not tempted by Real,Barca,PSG,etc.
2]-Stop paying “average-mediocre” foreign players astronomical wages/transfer.i.e.Fellaini,Valencia,Herrera,Darmian,Blind,Lovren,Matip,Can,Giroud,Debouchy,Xhaka,Bony,Kolarov,Danillo,Batshuayi,Mikel,Sissoko,etc,etc,etc.The big teams in the EPL should only go for the likes of world-class players.

Mav, trouble is the mediocre overseas players are better than we have produced ourselves.

The whole grass roots system needs overhauling, starting with the youngest ages (soccer schools) where the parents are educated as well. You spend all your time telling kids to control the ball look up and pass to a team mate, only to hear parents shouting “not there, just boot it” during games.

This is something that has to be actioned bottom up with the help of pro teams and the FA…..Pagan
