Great player. Fully deserved

Ronaldo and Messi are just super stars and two of the best players the works had ever seen

Ronaldo is supposed to be one of the most professional players at any clubs he’s been at and always the best trainer.

Messi doesnt go down easily. Humble kind of guy etc

Then you have Neymar who will never ever hit the heights of these two because of his attitude. His behavior is a disgrace. Last week trying to wind up the crowd and didn’t see a pass played to him as he had his back turned.the way he plays for Brazil is shocking. All about him

I would have whipped him off. Love watching Ronaldo, Messi, bake, Modric etc

Can’t stabd watching him and I really don’t think he’s all that great compared to other players

Fully deserved that Modric won.

He was great at the WC. Truly instrumental for a very good Croatia. In comparison Ronaldo turned it on against Spain but didn’t do much more than that. And Messi did next to nothing in a (on paper) very good Argentina side.
Modric also delivered in the CL as well.

Also nice to see a player that usually operates further down the field winning a big individual award. I think that The Balon D’Or usually looks a bit like a popularity contest and not much more which is a shame.
Would Messi have been able to shine so bright at Barcelona without Busquest, Pique, Puyol etc. to do the defensive work so well? Would Ronaldo without Modic, Ramos etc.? Of course not. So great to see Modric win. He deserved it, but it’s also a good thing for football as such to see someone other than Ronaldo and Messi win it.
