So the PL voted against a temporary ban on loaning players from associated parties.

Clearly favouring clubs whose owners own more than one football club and will surely help teams navigate (cheat) FFP.

Well done PL! Another nail in the coffin.

It was voted on by rhe clubs and the ban didn’t get the two thirds of votes it needed. The clubs voting against it were Newcastle United, Sheffield United, Man City, Chelsea, Everton, Wolves, Nottingham Forest, and Burnley.

Agree with you it’s another way to cheat but sadly some teams don’t care.

Most of those clubs already have owner associated sister clubs, or are planning on acquiring one. You’ll probbaly find that the owners of the clubs who are not in that bracket but voted against the ban are going to be enjoying some very nice christmas presents this year off of the owners of clubs who do fit the bracket.

The worrying trend here is that there is now enough of these types of clubs to block most of these initiatives in future also. There’s nowhere near enough to force change in their favour but they can at least block moves to limit their power.
