Which also happens to be the same amount as Arsenal, Spurs, Man City, Chelsea and YooUtd put together from their entire historys⦠? Imagine had he stayed @ Spuds for all that time, and add Modders to that too.

1st April 2019 at 3:24 pm #36644I presume.by fed Nil means bought in from another Club bit rich really when 17 of Liverpools 18 man squad yesterday were bought in from other Clubs.
Not knocking Liverpool for that but Barca have a better record than most for producing their own.

But still more CL’s than Spurs have won in their entire history. Spurs have only ever made the Qtr Finals twice in their entire history. π

1st April 2019 at 5:15 pm #36659I posted this in the Solskjaer thread but I’ll copy it here too as it’s quite relevant here, too:
Iβm sorry but I just donβt buy all this about players being desperate to play for Real or Barca. Our biggest clubs in the PL are every bit as appealing to play for but lack the climate and (historically at least) the wages on offer at those two. If the climates were switched, there wouldnβt be half the appeal for those 2 that exist now.
I’m not singling out my own club by any stretch. I genuinely think our clubs suffer massively, not from the appeal of those 2, but the fact both those clubs can pay as much as our clubs can as well as offer the climate which helps to win over the wives and girlfriends. Imagine trying to sell moving to Liverpool or Manchester to your Missus over a chance to live in Madrid or Barcelona. I’d have absolutely no chance! ?

1st April 2019 at 5:58 pm #36666Jokes aside, its not just the climate Ed,its the general way of life, for me anyways.People down south are more relaxed than in norff-west! As soon as the heat sets in,in Spain they have a siesta, compare that to a miserable UK????

2nd April 2019 at 8:28 pm #36722I think I’m in the minority where Henry is concerned, in his heyday.
The one moment I took to his liking was when Wenger brought him back for a ‘Cameo’ and he found the net against Leeds.
It’s funny that in my nature, I’m attuned to nostalgia, but now when I rewind back to the noughties especially, albeit our CL2005 and FA2006 triumphs, I really don’t hold any interest.
Football actually seems more enjoyable and competitive, if you cut out the media hype and the excessive analysis, stats and punditry.
