5th February 2018 at 10:10 am #14771I don’t take pleasure in the decline Arsenal and Arsene Wenger is going through. It should be said that even in decline they’ve managed to win the FA Cup, which most clubs would consider quite succesful.
Le Arse have fallen back in comparison to the other big boys in the league. While I don’t take any particular joy in their failings in the PL, I don’t pity Wenger or Arsenal at all. Why should I? They all make shedloads of money doing what they do. And Wenger IS responsible for all players at Arsenal today. Many of them pretty much deadwood. And their lack of a plan b is also down to Wenger. And honestly, if you complain about opposition having a physical approach to the game and throw ins being a part of the game, then quite frankly you do deserve a bit of stick. If I supported Arsenal, I think I’d be happy to see a new guy in charge.

5th February 2018 at 10:16 am #14774Well, I certainly take great pleasure from the so-called Goonie demise, although I do think it’s a bit premature. My boys and I spent long enough in the banterish “forever in our shadow” jibes, and considering the financial advantage they’ve had for quite a few seasons since their shiny new spaceship landed, they should be streets ahead of us.
But they aren’t, that certainly isn’t disputable, and there is one man who’s door the blame should certainly be laid at. And whilst considering the wonga that man has trousered during that time, I think he can be fully expected to have the Micheal’s removed from him on a regular basis.
Anyways, I suspect after Saturday, it’s a “Wenger-In!” week on Goon Show TV!

5th February 2018 at 4:42 pm #14817Anonymousarsenal should be streets ahead of spurs given their financial clout. this season theyve spent £120m on two strikers. they also spend £2.4m a week more than spurs on wages – thats the equivalent of 24 x £100k a week players. taking that in to consideration its a disgrace that they arent miles ahead of us. i know they were for a long time but over the last 6 years or so we massively closed the gap last year finally overtook them. arsenal are going through a really bad decline and until wenger leaves i cant see them getting much better.

8th February 2018 at 7:31 pm #15020Given AW’s shift in transfer spending.I.e over £100M spent on PEA & Lacazette alone.
