Thoroughly enjoyable game for the neutral but some really woeful defending and goalkeeping.
Neither of these teams will ever challenge for the title with these defensive deficiencies.

22nd December 2017 at 9:41 pm #9612Well, not a bad game to kick-off the Mini Chrissy Footy Season, was hoping for a draw so I’m happy and I was half right from my 6-6 prediction earlier (and not enough cards either!)… can’t help feeling 2 points dropped for Pool though, should have been out of sight at HT!
Long may both Klopp and Wenger reign, with their ability to build a defense, my Spuds always have a chance for the Top4!!

22nd December 2017 at 9:44 pm #9614Fair dos as I’ve always had respect for Wenger, but can’t say in spite of not losing has it for me ended in good spirits. Another 2 points dropped I feel like the Crystal Palace effect, and we’re short of Kieta and Van Dijk which we’re in desperate need of, and those opposition day to day people are sticking their noses in saying “we won’t get this we won’t get that”. You feel aggrieved because we’re not a million miles away from being genuine challengers but others and so-called experts will tell us otherwise as always.
Well, we didn’t lose and we remain 4th so something positive or some sort of a silver lining to take into Christmas.

Score draw imo both teams are great in forward mode but potentially suspect defensively. ?

22nd December 2017 at 9:49 pm #961627 Years I’ve experienced and suffered and have had to deal with the crap from other teams. Hate it.
There’s always others out there deliberately to ruin it for us – vultures.
Would have been nice to gain all 3 points – too many draws this season which adds to the frustration of it all. People are picking on us.
Hate the lot of them in reality. Anyway, this game’s finished and at least we didn’t lose it and behind the most successful team on this planet Manchester United, we’re only 2 behind and no other team can boast that fact.

22nd December 2017 at 10:00 pm #9618Nil, chill. Stop taking things so personally. We all know what it’s like to suffer disappointment in football. At least you don’t get outplayed at home by your local rivals!

22nd December 2017 at 10:03 pm #9619Interesting listening to Carragher, following the discussions on here about retrospective action and cheating, heโs saying Liverpool need to employ the dark arts of tactical (cynical) fouls and feigning injury to slow the game down. Think that sums up why weโre where we are.
However, a great match to watch for the neutral….Pagan

22nd December 2017 at 11:11 pm #9632โThere are the dark arts of the game that Jurgen Klopp spoke about a few weeks ago and said he didn’t want to get involved in.
โIt’s maybe someone who goes down with injury and you’re not hurt. Slow the game down, slow the atmosphere down.”
โThey’re always involved in games that are end-to-end. It’s great for us (as broadcasters), they’re great to watch but you’ll never get far because we’re all in those situations as players you have to find a way in a hostile stadium to kill the crowd but this crowd got lifted at 2-1.” Jamie Carragher

22nd December 2017 at 11:27 pm #96349, so basically carragher ssys unless you employ the dark arts youโll never win, and the dark arts is a polite way of saying cheat is it not….Pagan

22nd December 2017 at 11:50 pm #9637Good job for Spurs, United and Burnley that neither team can defend. Didn’t see the game sadly, but sounds like a good match for the neutral.

23rd December 2017 at 7:44 pm #9701Individual mistakes again.
We play some amazing football but itโs the same players all the time
Gomez is doing well but heโs to slow to react st times. Can never follows his man and mignonlet is no use.
Klopp continues to play them. If we could defend we be some team but we canโt
Moreno, Lovren, Klavan, Moreno just not good enough and need to be replaced
