22nd May 2018 at 11:19 am #22023Should have gone for Allegri or Sarri or Tuchel imho.Did very well with Sevilla but failed with PSG by my reckoning.

22nd May 2018 at 2:56 pm #22024Mav, bit harsh mate considering Emery won the domestic French treble last season whilst Sarri one of the favourites for the Chelsea role has won nothing.

22nd May 2018 at 4:22 pm #22025Good luck to him, big ask. He neeeds some players. I am also pleased we have Arteta a little longer, I know he will eventually venture into Management somewhere

22nd May 2018 at 7:49 pm #22029999-When you coach PSG with all them players, you bloody well expect the domestic treble, every bloody season.Winning domestic titles with PSG,Bayern,City,Juve,Barca,Real Madrid should not be seen as an achievement imho.Only the CL counts!

22nd May 2018 at 9:56 pm #22032Mav, that just proves to be superficial mate from PSV’s so-called way of life. And it proves to that there are other elements in formulating yourself as being the best.

22nd May 2018 at 9:58 pm #22033Never seen, heard or even knew of existence – could the Gunners have waited? Will they have that sort of money in luxury too to be able to lure top names?

23rd May 2018 at 12:21 am #22034Mav, given PSG’s budget you’re right whoever is managing them should be winning domestic honours but Emery also won three Europa Leagues at Sevilla in consecutive seasons and was European Coach of the year in 2014.
He’s not Pep Guardiola but he’s no mug either and I think he will do a decent job at Arsenal, but time will tell. Cheers 999

23rd May 2018 at 9:59 am #22043Emery officially appointed by Arsenal which imo will make qualifying for the top 4 even more competitive for everyone bar City.

23rd May 2018 at 10:22 am #22060Mav, I’m not sure they are very far away from top 4 tbh a couple of decent cb’s and a holding midfielder would set them up nicely imo. They won’t be troubling City for a while though.

23rd May 2018 at 9:44 pm #22075Mav, hope you’re good mate 🙂
Yeah, definitely PSG lol.
You might on this one think differently, but I’m a bit saddened, mainly on the point of Highbury to Emirates.
That is just pure business than any form of a connection, familiarity and history with the Supporters.
Now Wenger is gone. Don’t get me wrong I wish Arsenal well, but if there’s no signs shown of improvement, these points I imagine would come up.
Incidentally, why don’t we simply see an assembly of former players up for the task?
At the very least in a coaching capacity or academic level?
