“Why do you think nine, a general comment on Sky is directed at you? ?”
Possibly because your post below appeared directly after I quoted Sky Sports News and you’ve made similar comments similar to the one below to me previously about my love of Sky.
“Why does anyone in their right mind pledge to SKY or love in with SKY? All media are corrupted. Nobody had faith in any system. Rumours just sting you. Thereβs nothing but emptiness.”
But I’m happy to take you at your word.

19th July 2019 at 5:09 pm #43648Tugay, you’re right of course and I don’t think you can judge any media source as reliable that’s why I included in my post “Time will be the judge.”
Tbh with you Tugay in respect of Chelsea I never believe anything I see, hear or read in the media re Chelsea until it’s confirmed officially on the Chelsea Club site.
In respect of Newcastle as I said above “if Ashley doesnβt give Bruce the best chance of being successful by providing the alleged Β£60m transfer budget plus sales currently circa Β£30m then thereβs every chance Newcastle will be relegated and it will be Ashleyβs own fault.”
Gotta feel for the Newcastle fans but you appreciate that more than most. Cheers 999

19th July 2019 at 5:21 pm #43651Mav, exactly!?
Actually I always tell my family they are Pirates and I hate how much they charge me but if your a Football fan and a Sports fan in the UK you gotta bite the bullet and subscribe to both Sky and BT Sport.
If you pay what it costs the combined two provide some great Sports coverage.

19th July 2019 at 6:44 pm #43657Nine, cheers mate and no worries.
I think it’s just me growing older and cynical, hahaha π
I don’t trust media! π
For any Liverpool fan (maybe Sean might be aware of this), Teamtalk and Clubcall used to run a phone service for the latest rumours. There was something crazy written about Zidane and Lilian Thuram being linked with Liverpool. Anyway, cutting a long story short, I ran up quite a phone bill for my Parents being a Teenager back then.

19th July 2019 at 8:36 pm #43665You old flatterer Nil.?
We worked hard and played hard and earned a few bob along the way and many of those who worked for me still stay in contact and we still get together regularly.
I wouldn’t change a minute of it mate I travelled the world with a Company Amex Card in my wallet but it was tough on the family which is why I try and give them a bit more back now.

23rd July 2019 at 8:15 pm #43823“Newcastle United have signed striker Joelinton from Hoffenheim for a club record Β£40m fee on a six-year deal.
The 22-year-old Brazilian is Steve Bruce’s first signing since he was named the club’s new head coach on Wednesday, replacing Rafael Benitez.” BBC Football.

24th July 2019 at 7:12 am #43843AnonymousHas he pushed the panic button after the reaction from Newcastle fans? I mean, this clown does realise that Rafa would have gotten a lot more for that Β£40m than Steve Bruce ever will?
I mean, sure he may turn out to be a great signing and it could save them from relegation but I feel like some people just don’t know when they have it good. You would think this guy would know when it’s prime time to invest. That prime time has gone, I guess now it’s an absolute necessity though, or they are going down.
Perhaps that’s it. Maybe he played handball with Rafa, thinking that he wouldn’t walk away from this project. When he did then, he’d have known he was proper fracked.
Anyway, I’ll still be hoping the Newcastle fans boycott en masse. I have a feeling they’ll accept any old rubbish though as usual.

24th July 2019 at 10:23 am #43857The Joelinton signing was on the cards whilst Rafa was there but he didn’t fancy him.
Can’t think why!?
It’s an awful lot of money for a striker with such a poor scoring record and there will be a lot of pressure on him but Newcastle are spending money when many thought they wouldn’t although as always it’s not what you spend but who you spend it on.
Can only see a tough season for Steve Bruce and Newcastle they would probably settle for 17th place right now.

24th July 2019 at 12:23 pm #43864I never understand how a Manager doesn’t have or isn’t allowed input on who is brought in.
I’ve haven’t seen since the 90s and the late 80s a group of players from that team I’d be a fan of and would want to see them play. Even in the 00s, they had Shearer and individuals like Stephen Carr.
Still don’t get too on them selling to Leicester. What does that say about their stature and aspiration?

24th July 2019 at 4:54 pm #43879AnonymousSean, I’m not talking about this player in particular (I mean I was) but Rafa with that money to spend, on whoever he wants.. I’m just so glad that I don’t support Newcastle. I’d go completely mad. The fans are idiots if they continue to show up to matches. There’s a time for loyalty and there’s a time to take a step back until changes take place. Mass boycotting would eventually force that clown to sell up.
