Best Rivalry in recent years and would have to say about all respect to Pep for his respect acknowledged towards Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp.
Something come good for once in our modern society.

10th April 2022 at 8:23 am #195382Gerrard and conte need a full summer with their teams. Villa look very good at times but they can’t defend. Mings is poor. Let’s see what he does in the summer.
If conte gets top 4 is huge progress but Arsenal will have thrown it away. Two terrible results and they have handed it to spurs. Good few games left but that’s shocking from Arsenal yday.

10th April 2022 at 9:58 am #195384Can’t see past a city win or a draw adlab. Don’t trust that the ref is from Manchester and Tierney on var .
Tierney ruled out the handball at Everton and didn’t send Kane off or give us a pen at spurs. Sent Robertson off quick enough
Just hope there’s rubbish with the ref or var

10th April 2022 at 11:10 am #195385Do you know what, Adlab? The result really could be anything today. You could thrash us 5-0, we could do the same to you, or anything in between. If I had to make a prediction I’d agree with your 1-1, which will obviously suit you guys. I was going to say let’s hope it’s a cracker, but in all honesty I would be just as happy if it’s a turgid 0-0 till the 94th minute and then we get a dodgy penalty and win 1-0!!
Anyway, kind of good luck to all who have an allegiance today!

10th April 2022 at 11:14 am #195386Hand on heart, I’d be super down in the dumps if we lose next Saturday. I love the FA Cup and Liverpool haven’t won it since 2006 so it’s been a while. I’d love us to get to a Wembley Final.
I wouldn’t be too disappointed with if we draw today.
As for Referee backgrounds, best to try and push that to one side. Today will tell if there is some sort of conspiracy.

10th April 2022 at 11:15 am #195387I just hope no dodgy decisions either way.
I actually don’t think this is a title decider._____________________________

10th April 2022 at 11:25 am #195388Sean…he could be from the RED half of Manchester and they will not want us to win!!!!!! Not even sure he is from the real Manchester!!! Not worried about any Ref as long as they do there job right

10th April 2022 at 11:27 am #195389Adlai…no…agree..it is not a title decider for any of them. City/Liverpool are in too many competitions, it will take its toll

10th April 2022 at 11:48 am #195390I think it’s in the nature of both teams to go for it today. I think whilst we’re on a good run, our performances haven’t been great, so we need to up it today. I think a lot depends on our front players firing today. But like others above, even if we did win, we still have some difficult games left, and the form Spurs are now in makes that game tricky.

10th April 2022 at 1:01 pm #195391Adlab, I agree. There’s still another twist. We play Liverpool and Everton both at home and I would expect 6 points. Newcastle Away though is dodgy, but again, I’d expect us to edge past. Man City are certain to win their games re Watford and Brighton; it’s that Leeds game I’m looking at prior to Liverpool playing Spurs on that Saturday Night. At that point of time, I’m expected both sides to be in their 80s Points-wise.
Exciting times lie ahead, but from my point of view as mentioned, I don’t want to lose the Cup game.
I have a feel too both Liverpool and Man City will meet in the Champions League again.
The Neutrals are going to Love Us! 😀

10th April 2022 at 1:05 pm #195392Mikus, that is true. We’ve won games whilst in 3rd gear. It’s obviously proved to be enough. We’ve been playing compact at times and rode luck with our high line, but we’ve been measured too and scoring when needed the most.
Take for example Palace and Arsenal Away. In the past, we would drop points here and there that would add up.
Absolutely remarkable for Liverpool to close into a 12 point gap. At one point, many of us believed it was all over.

10th April 2022 at 1:21 pm #195393I don’t know whether underlying affiliation if there is one is true on these surrounding officials. If there was, how can this be proved and if it was, they should be stripped away from the Premier League and officiating.
Var, Red Cards, and Dodgy Penalty decisions is something we need to watch out for or better still pray it doesn’t smear any of the teams this afternoon.

10th April 2022 at 2:14 pm #195395Norwich are a goal up at Carrow Road. This is a 6 pointer against Burnley and surely a must-win game for them.

10th April 2022 at 2:21 pm #195396Can’t agree Sean that Conte is doing a wonderful job. They’ve had some awful results and performances under him. They’re simply currently the best of a very bad bunch. Wonderful is some overstatement! Even we beat Spurs and deservedly so.

10th April 2022 at 2:38 pm #195397Ye still great chance of 4th with a far inferior squad then utd or arsenal Ed. Only in the door. Scoring goals and defending well. Doing a very good job so far in my opinion. Ye sone poor results and great ones aswell which you expect with a relatively new manager mate

10th April 2022 at 2:42 pm #195398If you construct a league table from November 2nd, when Conte took over, up until the present day, Spurs are 3rd in the league, ahead of Chelsea. Spurs were 9th in the league before Conte arrived.

10th April 2022 at 2:47 pm #195400I made a point of this a few weeks back on Kane dropping more deep. That’s a massive cog in the wheel in creativity and maximizing opportunities from minimal passes and using less time.
The counter-press suits Spurs. Kane is clever in his positional play when Spurs need to take the game to the opposition because he then operates like a good old fashioned center-forward on the end of a cross or a pass.
He really brings the best out in Son too.

10th April 2022 at 3:07 pm #195401He’s done OK. Spurs have been pretty dreadful to watch at times under him. “Wonderful” is just a massive overstatement in my opinion. He’s threatened to leave about 3 times already after poor results.
