I would t write Chelsea off. Excellent team just a bad spell.
Big win for Everton.

9th April 2022 at 2:55 pm #195361Ed, I just think that the ingredients for success are so hard to bring together all at the same time that you’ll only ever get a few teams challenging at the same time. Which leads to some teams spending big to try and compensate for the lack of other ingredients, which often doesn’t get them anywhere. Then you have owners who can install a good setup but don’t want to spend too much. So all in all, have all these billionaire owners improved the competitiveness of the league?

9th April 2022 at 2:55 pm #195362Ye but I wouldn’t bet on Liverpool to beat Chelsea in a one off game Ed me aul chum. No idea what’s gone wrong recently but they are an excellent team.

9th April 2022 at 2:58 pm #195363I think even Chelsea had a rush of blood to the head in signing Lukaku. Probably would have been better keeping Tammy Abraham.

9th April 2022 at 3:52 pm #195364Here’s a point 3mins into a VAR check at Arsenal. Therefore by definition it CANT be a clear and obvious error?

9th April 2022 at 3:54 pm #195365Arsenal goal disallowed. 4 minutes. How can that be clear and obvious. It’s nonsense.

9th April 2022 at 4:18 pm #195366Chelsea such a strange side. They can look so poor at times yet they’re smashing Southampton today. Southampton are the same. Had some awful results through Hassenhuttl’s time there but can go to big sides and get a result.

9th April 2022 at 4:44 pm #195367I never jumped on the Arsenal band wagon in recent weeks. They had played no one and a huge test was palace away which they failed dreadfully. They should have 4th sown up
Great improvement from Leeds with their new manager

9th April 2022 at 4:55 pm #195370Looks like another race to finish outside the top 4.

9th April 2022 at 7:07 pm #195372That either this Arsenal or this Spurs side are going to be in the CL places reinforces the point I made earlier about just how poor the quality of the league is outside the top two.

9th April 2022 at 7:10 pm #195373Gerrard having a mare. That’s 4 defeats in a row now. Five in a row got Smith the sack.

9th April 2022 at 8:24 pm #195378Thought villa played really well the first half. Missed far to many chances. Spurs were clinical and conte doing a wonderful job with a terrible squad.

9th April 2022 at 9:04 pm #195379Spot on Sean mate. I feel for Villa a bit because they had a fair few chances in the first half and really should have been level.
Spurs are really executing their counter-press well. It’s Bish-Bash-Bosh with Perfection.
Deserved.

9th April 2022 at 9:08 pm #195380I would agree Ed re standards, but personally wouldn’t include Chelsea with the other cluster. Weird how results were indifferent when we had no supporters in stadiums.
There have been of late unexpected outcomes. I honestly didn’t not think Everton for example would win today, nor Arsenal would lose.
I don’t know if it’s consistency, or just an ‘every now and then’ surprise result.
